Wine Party for the PEOPLE!

We LIVE and LOVE for wine parties.

And finally, after over a year, the rooftop of “Club Kazaz” was once again buzzing with that energy!

Drew & Tara of Immanent (and Wine Cult Originators) are always the most gracious of hosts. This rooftop is a VIBE. Everyone brings some foods to share and a bottle (or five) of wine to donate to the wine barge. (Click on the link for a party barge of your own. TRUST, it comes in handy!) Yes, there is beer and tequila and vodka and whiskey but, really, we’re there to share the WINE. We love busting out bottles that people may have never tried before and you always know that at these parties there will be lots of deliciousness to glug glug glug.

Some of the bottles that made an appearance that night include:

  • “2019 Tangerine Dream” by Small Fry Wine. They are an amazing winemaker out of Barossa, South Australia. We first tried their wines at 2019 Raw Wine Festival in DTLA and we fell in love. They luckily found an importer shortly after and we have been able to find their wines at a few bottle shops in Los Angeles! This wine is a skin-contact blend that had notes of stone fruit and honey.

  • “2019 Dragone Ramato” by Forlorn Hope Wine from Calaveras County, CA. I had this wine last year and it is the most beautiful copper color! This is a skin-contact Pinot Grigio, with a citrus taste and minerality. I really loved this wine last vintage that I had to try it again. Was not disappointed! (Henry Strange’s favorite wine of the evening!)

  • Zaptung” by Alpha Box & Dice, a Prosecco from South Australia. I remember a little sparkle with flavors of white tree fruit. However, we have to admit, Joana was drawn to this bottle because of it’s beautiful, metallic and iridescent label art. The flavor lived up to the label for sure! (We got this bottle at Good Clean Fun in DTLA.)

  • 2017 Mendocino Carignan” by Vinca Minor in Berkley, CA. This wine was made with Carignan grapes from 3 different vineyards in Mendocino County, with flavors of red berries and spice.

The lighting was beautiful, the wine was delicious, the bass music was bumping (and always on point), and it really is one of our most favorite places to be with our most favorite peoples. There were seriously SO many bottles floating around the rooftop that we forget to take notes on what certain ones taste like. Sometimes, ok maybe MOST times, enjoying a glass or bottle has more to do with the company, the conversation, the energy of the folks you are with…and less with trying to detect flavors.

We missed this SO SO MUCH.

We were so happy to be able to see everyone’s faces in real life, give hugs, pour glasses for one another, and dance together finally. What an utterly DELICIOUS EVENING! <3
