Wine Cult Takeover at Good Clean Fun DTLA
One of our favorite things to do is pour wine for the compadres and dance, dance, dance! Earlier this month we had the pleasure of doing just that while taking over our favorite DTLA Natty Wine street side hang out, Good Clean Fun. The evening was exactly that, GOOD FUN!
We might have dirtied it up a bit with some big beats, courtesy of the homies Bonn (AKA Shifting Textures), Roxanne, and Andrew Kelley. A mixture of techno, house, hip hop, and drum and bass satiated our love for bass music. Such a perfect lineup of tunes kept the vibes high for the guests…and DTLA!
We put together a delicious tasting flight of California wines, courtesy of Amy Atwood Selections. Doug Swim, of the Amy Atwood Team, met with us a few weeks prior for a pre-tasting of the wines they currently had in their portfolio. Together, we were able to pick the wines we felt the crew would LOVE. This being the first time for us to put together a wine event, we very much appreciated Doug’s willingness to share his expertise and his support for us to just do our thing! (We are not experts on wine by any means, but we do know what we love! You can learn more about the wines we offered in our tasting flight here.)
The Cult RUNS DEEP and the turnout was STRONG! It was so lovely to see our folks show up for some eats, beats, and natural wine.
We have to give a HUGE shout out to Ian and the GCF team for allowing us to share their space for the evening, putting up with the boisterous crowd and wrangle us to our seats as best as possible! We appreciate the patience SO MUCH. (Also, mad respect to our servers our there…keeping track of patrons and what we were pouring them is legit HECTIC!)
FINALLY, here are some flicks from the event! (Thank you to Henry and Jonah Strange for commandeering the camera. So many goodies!)
And, of course, we wanted to thank all of the squad that came through to spend the evening with us. It made us so happy to be able to see your beautiful faces in one spot and gush to you about natural wine with no abandon. There really is nothing better than mixing heavenly, natural wine with friends, foods, and deep beats. This was SO MUCH FUN and we are definitely looking forward to our next shindig. We hope to see you there!
